WebCT was introduced in 2004 as our first institution-wide VLE.  This was upgraded to Blackboard CE8 after Blackboard took over WebCT and this is our current system.

Blackboard have now introduced version 9.1 which is significantly different from our current system, and support for CE8 will gradually be withdrawn over the next few years.

We have also been running a small installation of Moodle, an open source VLE solution used by many FE Colleges and increasingly, Universities.

Whilst we have Blackboard as our main VLE, we need to look to the future to ensure that the system we provide meets the needs of all our users.

By answering these questions you will help us gauge current usage and user expectations to aid us in this review. We welcome all user feedback and would love to hear from you if you have any further suggestions or advice.
