Iain Paul, the project manager for The Hive, will talk you through the history of its construction and identify its many sustainable features. Iain will also show how sustainability was considered whilst it was being built.
You will find out what material the gold exterior is made of, its recycled content and how the building uses river water to help with cooling.
This is another in the series of joint student and staff talks hosted by the student Environment and Conservation Society and the Sustainability Department.
The presentation will be filmed and made available on iTunes if you cannot attend.
