The Peirson Building is changing… September 16, 2010

The Peirson Building has had a bit of a change this summer, including a new policy on food and drinks. After student feedback on the matter, cold food and hot drinks are now allowed downstairs only, but never fear… you can still take bottled soft drinks upstairs. As before though, hot food is not allowed anywhere in the building.

There have also been some changes to the study zones in Peirson including the new Individual Study Zone. There are lots of signs and information around the building about the different study zones so there it’s easy to know what’s allowed where. The zones are here in order to give students a range of study environments to suit different needs.

More changes in Peirson include the new Phone Zone on the landing by the lift as well as in the Social Zone in the Foyer. These are the only places you can use your phone in the building so make sure you put your phone on silent when you come in.

Finally: we’ve set up lots more sockets around the building where you can plug in your laptop. Look out for the new laptop area upstairs by the School Resource Area.

ILS Staff will be on hand to police the new zones and answer any questions you may have.
