On October 18th – 24th, In common with many other Universities and research funders, the University of Worcester is supporting Open Access Week by highlighting the importance of open access to researchers and further stressing the role of the University’s repository.

There are several ways Institutes can get involved, including:

  • Coming along to one of our upcoming workshops, where we will help you upload your research, making it available to millions worldwide. Just bring along your research on a memory stick and in 10 minutes you could have it published online.

  • Sending the bibliographic details of the 4 most recent pieces of research you have published to Janet Davidson (j.davidson@worc.ac.uk) and we’ll send you the link to use in any of your communications with other researchers.

WRaP has over 750 individual pieces of research currently available. By the end of Open Access week, we’d like that number to exceed 1000.

Now for the fun bit….as an incentive, we’ll provide a nice bar of Fairtrade chocolate to the contributor who gets us to 800, 850, 900 etc. Recommend a friend to our workshops, we’ll send you a bar just for thinking of us!
