Sometimes you need to know what’s going on in the world. Sometimes you need to know what went on in the world 5, 10, 15 years ago. What did the government say about such and such? What was the reaction to so and so? Did this film/ book/ exhibition/ play get good reviews?

How are you going to find out?

Good news. The library has a newspaper database just for you. InfoTrac contains the full-text of several national newspapers, some going back to 1980. We have the Guardian, Times, Independent and Telegraph as well as some Sundays, the Sun and the Mail. There’s also the Birmingham Post if you need local news.
