Easier access to e-books! (Edited with live login page image) July 20, 2011

Hi all – just to let you know that while some of you are off enjoying a well-earned summer break, we’re still here beavering away on new and improved ILS services! One of the improvements we’re  making is to the title-level catalogue links to MyiLibrary e-books.

In short, it means that both staff and students now log in to MyiLibrary titles with their regular network login details. And remember, you’ll only need to complete this login when you’re off-campus and not logged onto the network: on-campus, you’ll go straight through to the e-book title you need with no need to login again. 🙂

These changes went live on or before Monday 1st August. You’re now presented with a new log in screen (shown above) for your network credentials and then taken directly to the e-book. Remember, this change is now for both staff and students.

Excellent news. This will make accessing resources so much easier, particularly as I was one of the tutors who could never remember Athens log in details!

Hi Rachel and thanks very much for the feedback. We’re doing everything we can to make getting access to resources as easy as possible for staff and students alike, and we have several exciting new developments coming up over the next year, so watch this space 🙂
