At 2:46am (roughly!) on Tuesday afternoon, the 333rd day on which it had been open, the Hive’s one millionth book issue was recorded. The title of the item issued was Why love matters: How Affection Shapes a Baby’s Brain. A lovely title to reach our 1,000,000! And it was a university book and a university student.

Books are of course the tip of the iceberg when it comes to library resources as the vast majority of all library use happens online through e-journal articles and other online resources. For tips on how to use Summon (the library search engine) to get the most out of our e-resources just e-mail askalibrarian@worc.ac.uk or book an appointment with your friendly subject librarian: http://www.worcester.ac.uk/ils/1259.htm
