I am delighted to share the very good news that our University has won the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Award for Outstanding Library Team.

Thanks to the work of colleagues in Information and Learning Services in particular and colleagues from throughout the wider University, together with staff from the County Council, the Hive has proved a stunning success. We will shortly welcome our millionth visitor, book issuance has doubled, and the Hive has stimulated literally thousands of children, many of whom will be our future students, into reading more and becoming more engaged with education and with learning.

Many thanks to all involved and special thanks and congratulations to Anne Hannaford, the Director of Information and Learning Services and Judith Keene our University Librarian together with all those who have worked in the Hive over this past year.
